The series arrived at sunny Silverstone over the Bank Holiday weekend, where Mellor took his 3rd pole position in a row followed by Robb, Naish and Kelly Anne Mercer. Andy Campbell was on pole for the Maestros with Scott Tanner ever improving to take 5th.
The cars were lined up on the grid in the sunshine and as the lights went out, Robb made the best start pulling alongside Mellor as they went to the first corner. Tanner had got a slow start and dropped a place in the fight to the first corner.
As they went round the first corner, robb stayed on the outside of Mellor to take the lead as they went up to Becketts for the first time.
They approached the Complex with Mellor tucked in behind Robb ahead of Naish and Kelly-Anne, cleanly through, they came with Robb leading.
Through Copse the first corner, they went again with Robb taking a wide line out after going through slightly quicker than he should have done. This gave him about five car lengths over Mellor who by lap 3 had dropped away even more after struggling to find 3rd gear.
This sealed the win for Robb as he maintained his lead throughout with a lights to flag victory ahead of Mellor, Paul Naish and Mick Weidner in his newly built ZR.
Scott Tanner was having an excellent dice with race instructor Paul Roberts and William Sharpe. Tanner eventually had to yield and settle for 6th as Roberts passed him on the final lap and pipped him by less than 3 tenths of a second to the flag.
